Mary Miller Café is built for exactly this. A 45-seat neighbourhood venue where the food is led by a chef with fine-dining roots, the space feels personal rather than corporate, and someone actually picks up the phone.
Function menus are built from the dishes people already come back for - the miso smashed avo, the chorizo scramble, the fried chicken burger. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free are handled as standard. No surcharges, no fuss.
You organise the guest list. We handle everything else.

The kitchen is run by a chef who trained at Vue de Monde in Melbourne and Ryugin in Tokyo. Your guests get proper food, not catering platters.

What it Costs
Weekday, from 10am
$400 minimum spend - any size, any day Monday to Friday
Weekend, up to 25 guests
$1,200 minimum spend -half the room is yours, we stay open
Weekend, exclusive use
$2,000 minimum spend - the whole café, all 45 seats
Evenings, 5pm - 10pm
$1,000 minimum spend - full venue, full bar, any day
Minimum spend means exactly that: food and drinks counting toward the total. No room hire fee, no service charge, no cake-age, no surprises on the invoice.
Evening & Exclusive Hire
The café is yours from 5pm. Set menu or shared plates, wine and cocktails, and nobody asking you to wrap up. It's the one booking where we can genuinely do whatever you want.
